Opportunities

Student projects:

The Macroevolution & Macroecology Group includes students at all levels from undergraduate to PhD. We are always keen to talk to prospective research students about joining our group. We are happy to supervise projects on any taxon, that address interesting questions in evolution, ecology or biodiversity. It could be a project that fits with one of our current or recent funded projects, or it could be a standalone project. Most of the projects we supervise are computer-based, but we've had (and currently have) students working on field-based ecological projects.

Please contact Lindell (lindell.bromham@anu.edu.au) or Marcel (marcel.cardillo@anu.edu.au) if you'd like to discuss potential projects.

Postdoctoral and research opportunities:

From time to time, funding becomes available to hire researchers at postdoctoral and other levels. When available, positions will be advertised here and on the ANU webpage.

The primary scheme for independent fellowships at the postdoctoral level in Australia is the Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA). We are happy to host DECRA fellows in the
Macroevolution & Macroecology Group - please contact us if you want to talk about applying.
